Maleek DeFreek The Sexual Intellectual is an author, performer and businessman. His freelance writing company is Tightwriters Inc. He has produced a CD an audio book and is a self published author; he is just coming off tour doing a play called “Baby Mama Drama” where he received an award for his role as Brandon where he played a father that could not control his temper when it came to his baby’s mother. He has been published in Hustler Magazine, Rollin Out, The Metro, The City Paper and Philadelphia Weekly. He has also toured with The Punany Poets from the famed HBO’s Real Sex to the city of Philadelphia.
HE IS ALSO A JIZZNESMAN AND A BUSHMAN STAIGHT FROM THE BUSH MAN. A CLITOMANIAC THATS BI-POLEHER. HE HAS ALSO BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH O.C.D OBSESSIVE CLITORIS DISORDER AND O.D.D OBSESSIVE DATING DISORDER. HE HAS AN EXCELLENT FREEKSENTATION THAT EVERYONE LOVES AND IT'S CUMMING TO A TOWN NEAR YOU ASAP.
He has performed with Jill Scott, Musiq, Kindred, The Roots, Black Ice, Bilal James Poysner, Zane, Bruce Bruce, Earthquake and Turae. He has also performed with poets from Def Poetry Jam Black Ice Will Foreel, and Tommy Bottoms. Other prominent poets include Queen of Atlanta GA, E. Webb and Bo MF Ellis. He has been on a national tour with The Punany Poets from HBO’s Real Sex #26 and famed erotic author Zane.
Some of the places he has performed is New York, New Jersey, Philly, Washington DC, Delaware, Cleveland, Detroit, Indiana, Alabama, Tennessee Newport Virginia, Richmond Virginia, Charlotte North Carolina, Columbus South Carolina, Atlanta, Augusta, Miami, Palm Beech, Denver, New Orleans, Mississippi, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Oakland, San Francisco, Seattle and Jamaica.
He has an award for co-production of “El Evated” with MEE Productions; He has awards from Walk Down Entertainment for performing in a play called “Baby Mama Drama, has been on tour with the National Black Arts Spoken Tour and Adelphia Repertory Touring Company. He has a Bachelors in Marketing, and has worked with Clear Channel (WDAS, Power 99, Q102, 106, and WRFF.)
Future plans for Maleek DeFreek is selling a reality television show a movie scripts and bringing on board more exceptional authors to write for his freelance writing company. A world tour is in the making for his one man show called “Mating Season” which is based off his book and CD and his second book is being produced. He is negotiating with prominent magazines to have his own relationship column.
